WHAT IS IT?
The Tony Trischka School of Banjo is a video based music instruction site. Everything is presented in very extensive "bite size" video lessons taught by banjo Master Tony Trischka. Tony Trischka.


This innovative approach to learning allows banjo students all over the world to have continual contact with the materials needed to improve their playing and most importantly: FEEDBACK from a virtuoso.

Subscriptions to the Tony Trischka School of Banjo are $60 for a 3 month recurring membership.Renewal is automatic.



WHAT MAKES THIS SITE DIFFERENT?

Most video based sites on the internet just post a long list of lessons for students to watch. There is never any interaction nor opportunity to ask a question and get instruction from the teacher. Students are stuck in the very typical "ONE SIDED" learning approach that, until now, has been the only way to learn online. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

Enrolled students watch the video lessons starting at their appropriate level, then record themselves practicing if they want feedback from Tony. By using ArtistWorks's simple Video Management System, students upload their video for Tony Trischka to review. When Tony personally responds (either by video or written assessment), the two are paired together in the Feedback Center as Master Classes, so the entire community can learn from each other. STUDENTS OF ALL LEVELS submit videos and catching mistakes early will improve playing skills later. You can learn at your own pace. Although students can start at any point of the lessons or even start with TUNES, you'll get the best results by taking a progressive approach and continue through the lessons as you master each skill.

WILL I MEET OTHER BANJO PLAYERS even if I don't send Tony a video on the site?

Each Student can fill out their own "STUDENT PAGE" where they can post videos of other performances, friends, their band or whatever they would like. This is a very popular section of the site. Some students find that they like to get feedback from their peers before they submit a video to Tony and this is the perfect place to do it. You can post many photos on your Student Page and your fellow musicians can leave you comments or messages as well.

The "FORUMS" here at TTSB are where the community gets built. People meet here and help each other, encourage the other students and share information on all aspects of banjo and the business.


"HOME BASE" serves as the hub of the site. Everyone lands at this page when they sign on so all news updates and Shout Outs are here! If a Student has uploaded a new video to their Student Page, it shows up here. Students can also upload a Backing Track to share with others, and they also appear on the HOME BASE upon upload.

Students of Tony Trischka School of Banjo support their learning and socializing with the ability to "CHAT" with each other from anywhere in the world. By just clicking on CHAT students can enter into instant messaging conversations with each other to bring the banjo world even closer together.
